Beekeeping

New antibiotic regulations came into effect on December 1, 2018 in Ontario. These regulations change how beekeepers access antibiotics used to prevent American foulbrood (AFB) in their colonies.  Veterinarians must now prescribe all antibiotics to beekeepers. 

Dr Shiland has completed the Ontario Beekeepers Association 'Antimicrobial management for Beekeeping Workshop' and can assist you with medications to keep your hives healthy.
